The role

As Jewish Care's Organisational Improvement Manager, you will collaborate with our leaders in the design and delivery of Jewish Care’s Continuous Improvement Framework, aligning the Framework with our strategic vision and goals. What you will bring

• Experience as an improvement specialist or similarly experienced leader preferable with a health background
• Demonstrated understanding of the role and function of Aged Care, Disability, and Community Care services within the Australian health system
• Degree qualification in health management, clinical discipline, process improvement, project management or related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop implementation strategies which will deliver desired organisational outcomes
• Ability to maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with all multidisciplinary team members across multiple locations
• Demonstrated ability to coach staff in improvement principles and methods

DOMESTIC CLEANING ASSISTANTS - Support our clients living in their own homes who need help with basic cleaning duties, cooking and conversation.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Domestic Cleaning Assistants to support our elderly clients living independently in their own homes. 

Due to an increase in client demand, Jewish Care Victoria needs a strong network of Domestic Assistants who can speak English, Russian, Polish, Hebrew or Yiddish to travel to our client homes using your own car (paid $0.80 cents per kilometre between clients) and we will provide secure employment with access to flexible shifts from 8am to 6pm Monday to Sunday.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• General household duties such as making the bed, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen
• Loading the washing machine, hanging clothes or ironing
• Assisting with meal preparation
• Supporting clients to maintain independent living skills 
• Monitor the physical, social and emotional well-being of the client and report issues
• Develop an effective, positive and respectful working relationship with clients respecting cultural values and beliefs

To be successful in this role:

Essential: 

• Experience in domestic or commercial Cleaning ideally in an aged care setting
• Victorian drivers licence & reliable vehicle (preferred)

Residential Aged Care Allocations Manager

The role

The Allocations Manager will supervise and oversee all residential aged care rostering on a day-to-day basis – in conjunction with the Residence Managers to ensure the delivery of quality care and services at each home.  This role coordinates staffing delivery in collaboration with the Administration teams for each Residence in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Supervision and oversight will include effective allocation of staff and services, monitoring and maintenance of master rosters for each home to meet quality and statutory requirements, liaison with external labour hire agencies and internal BlueStar Rostering and Contact Centre Teams to ensure shifts are filled.  This role will be a key contributor to projects including the implementation of a roster solution for the organisation.

This role will work collaboratively with the People & Development Team to inform workforce planning and recruitment priorities, and support effective recruitment, onboarding, development and retention.

• Oversee the daily allocations and roster for each residence
• Act with customer service and quality care delivery in mind
• Work with each Residence Manager and the Administration Team to ensure all service delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor, coordinate and manage staff leave and absenteeism

About this Opportunity

The Rostering Officer is part of a team we call "BlueStar" and you will be responsible for connecting our In Home and Community clients with Support Workers to deliver serivices such as Direct Care and Domestic Assistance.

This is an exciting time to be a part of our "Bluestar Team" as we experience  growth and demand in our Community Services.

You will provide support and assistance to BlueStar Clients and Support Workers through on going effective roster allocation and administration. You will develop cost effective staff rosters to ensure client needs are met whilst providing staff with optimum working hours.
